About On The Ball Personnel

What makes us who we are

On the Ball Personnel is definitely an agency like no other! When you walk through the door, the absence of fluorescent light, grey carpet and the usual recruitment industry panic reflect the personality of Company Founder and Managing Director, Sharon Vandermeer.

Antique desks, smiling, chatty staff and a warm environment, assist the candidates in feeling at home and becoming part of the team.

Fifteen years in recruitment have taught Sharon that the way to a truly successful recruitment business is personal service, a comfortable atmosphere and an approachable attitude to people. Sharon and the team have personal contact with every client and candidate who come in contact with On The Ball Personnel, which we all know is rare in this industry! We aim to make a difference, and can regularly be found on client sites ensuring that clients and candidates are comfortable, happy and well looked after.

Our philosophy is based on honesty and being totally passionate about what we do.

Sharon attributes the success of On the Ball Personnel (and three nominations for Telstra Business Woman of the Year!) to her dedication to making a difference, her individual and relaxed approach to a high pressure industry and her never ending supply of passion!

When you contact On The Ball Personnel you are assured of a reply! The team is always there to answer the calls and we do not have voicemail because we see every call as a priority.

This extraordinary boutique agency is on the road to continued and growing success.

'For me it is not really like a recruitment agency. On the Ball is more like a kindly aunt that looks out for your wellbeing. As I sat in Adelaide after half days of washing dishes, On the Ball was trying harder to get me a decent job than I was, I’m sure. I had numerous phone calls throughout the process and when the client had finally made up his mind late Friday night, Sharon was right on it.'
