Accounts Payable Officer

Our Client, an ASX listed Resources Company, is looking to employ an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to commence ASAP. Initially the role will be Temporary for approximately 6 months with the intention for the successful candidate to be considered for permanency.
This role would ideally suit an accounts payable officer who has at least 1 to 2 years experience (minimum) and looking to develop a new challenge in their career.
Duties and responsibilities of this role will include arranging payment of Creditors through:
- approval of invoices, expenses and other payments in accordance with procurement policy
- validating account codes and entering of invoice data
- matching receipted purchase orders to supplier invoices
- establishing new creditor information and entering vendors into system
- processing payments through web based banking software
- responding to and resolving enquiries from internal personnel, suppliers, banks etc
- developing and maintaining productive relations with all suppliers
- performing creditor account reconciliations, managing disputes and queries
- providing accounting assistance to the Financial Accountant as directed including journal input and general ledger maintenance
The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, ability to analyse and solve problems, good organisational skills and discretion when dealing with confidential information.
